Amanda has been a painter all her life, but really began practicing when she went off to college. She says, “It took me a while to develop my personal style, eventually I started painting murals and doing illustration projects, which lead me into learning traditional sign painting techniques. Now I paint basically every day, it’s given me a sense of purpose, I wouldn’t rather be doing anything else.”

When you see her work, you can you tell its Amanda. From her bold and bright colour choice, to her playful lettering, and cartoonish characteristics. Amanda works all over the city doing commission based work for multiple small busiesses and custom designs for private clients. Which is the main reason she loves her job so much. “I love what I do not only because I love to paint, but because of the community I’ve made through meeting new people, and seeing other business owners that are also passionate and love what they do.”

Which is why it felt like a match made in heaven to ask Amanda to work on this collaboration with Feelings Vintage. Using a classic vintage leather jacket as our canvas, Amanada and i really wanted to bring her work to life through wearable art. “I really took my time with these, it’s a luxury I don’t always have with projects and it allowed me to really think about my illustrations and go back to the drawing board to make sure they were a perfect fit the vibe of the jacket.”

We love and appreciate Amanda so much for all her amazing work on this project and cant wait to collaborate again.
